Ok hold your applause.... Paris Hilton’s grandfather Barron Hilton has promised 97% of his wealth to charity, which includes his net worth and various trusts totaled at about $2.3 billion. Apparently, he doesn’t want to see his fortune wasted on his idiot granddaughter. (Ok you can applaud now). According to Reuters: Barron isn’t happy at all about his granddaughters exploits.

Here’s the quote from Reuters:

“Jerry Oppenheimer, who profiled the Hilton family in his 2006 book “House of Hilton,” has said Barron Hilton is embarrassed by the behaviour of his socialite granddaughter Paris and believes it has sullied the family name.”

Finally someone close to Paris comes to their senses, I mean don’t get me wrong we all know Paris will still be among the wealthiest young socialites around, but maybe this might give her a kick in the butt to use her celebrity for something other than selling canned wine.. Maybe, just maybe, she might try picking up a book, maybe watch the news, or quit auditioning for film roles. Wishful thinking? You tell me.
