Every fall, boots are advertised everywhere as the “it” shoe to wear. I hate boots! First of all, they don’t look right unless you’re 5’9” and weigh 110 lbs. Secondly, the pointy toes only look cute, they definately don’t feel cute. Thirdly, the length of the boots this year are at ankles. Has anyone actually worn these? They look weird unless you are wearing a mini, tiny skirt or dress and have legs like Rihanna. You could wear them with jeans, but then what’s the point?

I was in Naples, Fl. on business and had a few spare hours to spend at a Saks Fifth Avenue there. I’m not really a shopper of Saks as I don’t have one near here. Anyways, I was told by a sales person there that they were going to have a 40% off sale and they would hold anything I wanted to ship me my order. I was like, SHUT UP!
So of course, I didn’t even eat dinner for this exciting adventure. I bought the most beautiful Dolce & Gabbana dress that is killer. I love theory and Diane Von Furstenburg. So this past Saturday I wore one of the dresses I bought…

So I met a woman last week that got me thinkin... She is a young, extremely attractive female looking for her engagement ring. So we’re looking around and she falls in love with the Beaudry designs. We started chit chatting away about exactly what she wants in a ring and what she wants it to look like. Of course, me being the professional that I am, made some suggestions. Now remember, I said she was extremely young, maybe in her early 20’s. She had a small, small frame and looked as if she had just gotten off the runway. Anyways, she pulls out a Fantasy 6ct round brilliant toy ring. She says she’s been carrying it around just to see how she “feels” in it. Now of course, my immediate reaction was, first engagement, young girl, petite body size, maybe a 2 carat. So needless to say, I felt rather stupid. She says that the 6 carat is too big, so a 5 carat should suffice.

This past week we had the pleasure of having Christian, a representative of Gurhan Jewelry, come by our store for a trunk show. Oh my goodness, what a great time we had. The girls of Kane Marie absolutely loved learning about all the different techniques Gurhan incorporates into his jewelry. This 24k gold jewelry was definately a popular trend this weekend. Christian did a fabulous job matching up the perfect piece with every customer that came in. What was truly amazing was the fact that people didn’t even know gold came in 24k. People actually though it was fake!....

This year for Diva’s Night I decided to do something a little different. Our guest was Doris Panos from New York. And if you know Doris, you know she fits into that category just perfectly.
So my idea this year was to throw an amazing party at a spa with all of her loyal fans in Hampton Roads. Click here to see photos from the event. We began by sending all of our guests a chocolate invitation giving them a “teaser” as to what was yet to come. We then followed up with a personal invitation letting them know all the juicy details. Such as a limosine pick up and drop off service, diva goodie bags, champagne and “sweet” treats, a complimentary free treatment, and of course, Doris Panos herself.

Masterminded by none other than Marc Jacob and featuring the beautiful faces of Stephanie Seymour, Eva Herzigova, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Angela Lindvall and Natalia Vodianova, its obvious Louis Vuitton went above and beyond for their new line.
Even more enticing for some is the “Making of” Video , shot by Zoe Cassavetes in london. The video (yes we have it.. see below), follows the star-studded cast on a day of the shoot, including showcasing Richard Prince’s own infamous 1970 Dodge Challenger. Its a must-see.
